RoWorld Tier Lists

Every structure, Arsenal item and starting nation, graded for how well it performs in an actual match.

Last updated:

Tier lists are only useful if they answer a practical question. Which building should I buy with my first million gold? Which Arsenal purchase is worth Robux? Which of the many starting nations should I actually pick?

This hub answers those three questions, and each sub-page goes deeper on one of them.

How these grades are decided

Every entry is graded on value in a real match, not on how exciting it looks. That means three things carry the most weight:

  1. Impact per gold. A structure that costs 50,000 and stops a whole invasion is worth more than one that costs 1,000,000 and occasionally works.
  2. How early it pays off. A building that contributes in the first five minutes is worth more than an equal-cost building that only matters in the last five.
  3. How often it is the right answer. A situational tool can be excellent, but it is not a first purchase.

Where community opinion and our own testing disagree, we say so on the page instead of hiding it. The patch notes record every change that might invalidate a grade, because a tier list written last month is only worth reading if you know what changed since.

The building tier list

Read the building tier list for the full ranking of City, Factory, Port, Defense Post, Warship, Missile Silo and SAM Launcher, including what each one costs, what it does and when it is the correct purchase.

The short version: Defense Post, City and Factory sit at the top because they are cheap, early and permanent. Port is strong on coastal maps and dead weight on landlocked ones. Missile Silo is last because it costs a million gold plus ammunition and mainly buys you deterrence.

The Arsenal tier list

The Arsenal tier list ranks the eight account-level items you can unlock with Stars or Robux — Mega Nuke, Scattershot, Reinforcements, Artillery, Air Strike, Railgun, 2x Stars and Rapid Reload — by what they actually change in a match.

This is where the account progression lives. Unlike the in-match economy, these persist between matches, so it is worth spending Stars deliberately rather than buying whatever is cheapest.

The nation list

Nations are not a tier list in the usual sense — they are a starting position. The nation list explains what each of them is strong and weak at, and which ones suit the way you play.

Read the numbers, not just the grades

A grade tells you what to prioritise. It does not tell you when the purchase becomes affordable. Use the territory calculator to convert your gold-per-second rate into a concrete timer for each structure, then combine it with the gold and buildings guide to plan your build order.

One important caveat

RoWorld is a live game that changes often. The listing was edited repeatedly in October 2026, and balance changes land without a public changelog. Treat these grades as the current best assessment rather than permanent law, and check the updates hub for anything newer.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions RoWorld players ask most.

What is the best building in RoWorld?

Defense Post, City and Factory share the top tier. A Defense Post costs 50,000 gold and multiplies enemy casualties plus slows their advance, a City raises your troop cap, and a Factory converts your territory into passive income. See the building tier list.

Which RoWorld Arsenal item is worth buying first?

Reinforcements gives you 20 percent more troops on demand every 30 seconds, and 2x Stars doubles your end-of-match payout for a low price. The Arsenal tier list ranks all eight items.

Is the Missile Silo worth 1,000,000 gold in RoWorld?

Only as deterrence. It unlocks the launch terminal, but the ammunition costs extra and every detonation creates fallout that does not count toward your 80 percent. The nukes and fallout guide explains the real cost.

How often do RoWorld tier lists change?

The game is edited regularly and RoWorld does not publish a public changelog, so grades can go stale. The patch notes page records every confirmed change we find.

Do these tier lists cover the solo modes too?

They are written for standard public matches, where economy competition is real. In solo mode the same build order works but the urgency of a Defence Post or Factory drops sharply.
